Infected Rain are metalcore/groove mental band from Moldova. A landlocked country in Eastern Europe, located between Romania to the west and Ukraine to the north, east, and south.
I’ve been following Infected Rain’s career since 2017’s self-released effort 86. The accompanying music video for the song for the song “Orphan Soul” is what got me hooked.
I became infatuated with the band and even did an interview with Elena Cataraga known professionally as Lena Scissorhands. I had a feeling the band was poised for a major break and I was right.
An independent act for ten years Infected Rain signed with Napalm Records back in 2019.
The band has since released three full length records through the label Endorphin (2019), Ecdysis (2022), and TIME (2024).
Infected Rain is currently working on a new, yet untitled album scheduled for release in 2026, a new music video for the song, “Stranger”, has been released to promote the band’s current tour and upcoming effort.
The music video for “Stranger” is visually stunning. One thing that’s always allowed Infected Rain to stand out is their awesome music videos. Lena Scissorhands has an eye for creativity and the camera drinks in her image like a blood thirsty vampire.
The band has a gothic-metal look that makes the artists seem dangerous. Vadim “Vidick” Ojog (Guitars) appears especially menacing with his ripped jeans and crazy dreadlocks.
Alice Lane appears a perfect addition, the five-string Overload bass is pure evil.
A performance offering this some apocalyptic clips thrown in, a character wakes up on a dirty mattress to find her face is covered with a jigsaw puzzle like mask. 
Creepy and disgusting the character removes the mask as the song progresses. It appears change is torturous but a necessity for life.
The whole process appears painful but strangely uplifting as the whole metamorphosis seemingly leads to a positive revolt.
