A new music video for the song “Violent Ending” has just been released to hype the effort, and I must admit I’m excited. This band understands ‘old school’ death metal and the strength of quality execution.
Sometimes I just cruise YouTube looking for some violent shit to fill that black void in my heart. This week I stumbled across a band called Necrodios and I must admit they are fucking sick!
From what I can tell this band has been around since 2004 and now hails from Ontario, Canada. Their full-length debut (Anomie Dominie) came out in 2012. They follow that up with an EP (Marikina) a couple of years later (2014). The band has more or less been silent ever since, until now…
A new 4 song EP entitled, Bitter Tidings, is set to hit the streets on January 27th via Dethrone Records. “Violent Ending” is a performance offering that displays this band’s ‘go for the throat’ attitude. Featuring a sound that’s a cross between Krisiun meets Dying Fetus, it’s hard not to like the brutal direction this group is headed.
The dual vocals of Jerry King aka Jericho Asinas and Jet aka Jet Asinas are really the highlight of this effort.
These guys get the art of death metal vocals, with a delivery that borders depravity and dying. They seemingly understand this was and always will be the strength of death metal.
I noticed the brothers are also involved in a crossover/thrash act called In Your Blood, another band I plan on checking out.
Their self-titled debut release was unveiled in August of last year via Witches Brew.
Necrodios is definitely on a roll but they could use your support to further their visibility in this ever changing ‘metal scene’. Check out “Violent Ending” and let the pummeling riffs of the Asinas brothers unleash a rampage within you! \m/
