The use of fire is huge in this offering; it’s like hell come to earth. Watching an offering full of fire and brimstone is like waiting for Satan to unleash his horde of demons!
Believe it or not Carnifex has been around since 2005. San Diego’s deathcore juggernauts have released nine studio albums so far with number ten, More Than Misery, due November 6th 2026 via Sumerian Records.
Although the music of Carnifex hasn’t changed much over the years, they still manage to make things sound fresh and exciting without straying too far from their tried and tested formula. The longevity of this band is deeply rooted in their ability to sound relevant.
I consider Lorna Shore’s I Feel the Everblack Festering Within Me one of the hottest deathcore releases at the moment and “More Than Misery” is definitely on par with that material, the carnage kings are here to take back their crown. My gut tells me this is going to be one of Carnifex’s heaviest albums to date, and I can’t wait to hear the rest!
A performance offering that goes right for the jugular, this effort gives us little time to breathe. The musicianship is simply outstanding. From the volatile riffs to the signature blast beats, these guys always come out swinging!
The use of fire is huge in this offering; it’s like hell come to earth. Watching an offering full of fire and brimstone is like waiting for Satan to unleash his horde of demons!
The venomous vocals complete this vicious ensemble, like a sinister pied piper we are led down a crooked path leading to total devastation!
Carnifex has proven once again why they are a top-tier deathcore act. Check out the music video for “More Than Misery” and let the agonizing vibe of Carnifex infect you! \m/
