Eleine is a symphonic metal band from Landskrona, Sweden.
The group has been active since 2014 and has released four studio albums and three EPs. The most recent offering is We Stand United, an EP unleashed in 2025.
A new single titled “Empire of Lies” has been unveiled as a teaser for the band’s upcoming yet-to-be-titled fifth full-length album which is due sometime in December of 2026.
Most symphonic acts are atmospherically keyboard driven, but Eleine is a welcome exception to this rule. Heavy on the guitars, this track is highly reminiscent of Arch Enemy during their Will To Power phase, specifically the track “The World Is Yours”.
The riffing is just maniacal and fits great with Madeleine Liljestam‘s vocals.

This was my first exposure to Eleine, and I must admit I am impressed. The harsh and clean vocals of Rikard Ekberg are the perfect accommodation for Madeleine’s opera-style delivery.
The band comes off like a harsher version of gothic metal legends, Lacuna Coil. Eleine is definitely on my metal radar now and they should be on yours too. Check out “Empire Of Lies” and let these symphonic vibes introduce some original sin into your physical corporation. \m/
